DSG Transmission oil and filter change for 3 - 10 year old Volkswagen's
The transmission oil and DSG filter in the DSG gearbox should be changed every 40,000 miles to help reduce wear in the gearbox. This is because like any other part with moving components that require lubricating, the oil quality deteriorates through usage and provides less protection. Also the filter that catches any contaminants can become blocked. Replacing these makes sure that the gearbox operates correctly and has a longer serviceable life.
